Dr. Kelly Acierno grew up in the McCandless area and earned her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from Penn State University. She went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.

Dr. Acierno enjoys working with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. While she has a strong background in equine medicine, she prefers to enjoy horses as a hobby. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, archery, traveling, and spending time with her dog and two guinea pigs.

Dr. Acierno is certified in veterinary acupuncture through Chi University and provides acupuncture treatment for all species, including exotics. Acupuncture can support the management of conditions such as intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), osteoarthritis, kidney disease, and seizures.

She offers dry needle acupuncture, aquapuncture using saline, vitamin B12, or the patient’s own blood, and electroacupuncture. Each technique serves a specific purpose and follows an individualized treatment timeline.
